Oops, forgot to change the order of creatures in the title. Too late now since the memos have been distributed!
More tiny Artist Trading Cards. I don’t know how long the enthusiasm will last but that’s ten in two weeks. It is certainly much less daunting staring at a blank 2.5″ x 3.5″ than an 8″ x 10″. For one thing, much easier to fill in a background, and I like to do backgrounds.
I have a lot fewer smudging problems since I’ve been using colors other than black for the initial ink. Copic has a fairly limited number of colored fine liners so I use Micron and Prismacolor fine liners, too.

I absolutely love your anteater. I shall return to comment further. I am so sleepy right now but wanted to tell you that these illustrations are terrific!!! You are inspiring me to paint. Thanks for sharing. Good night!
Thanks Ces! I like the anteater, too. Such an odd creature (and now a bit odder). :)
Hey Cindy
Love the hornbill in particular, and the blue stork! Good to see you’re not slumbering. Working small is a good idea – I can’t tell the difference in these digital versions but it means you do twice as much work in the time! I’m sorry I’ve been slow to respond to your latest – just the old shoulder trouble as usual.
Thanks for letting me know about your comments on the Illo Friday site. I haven’t quite got the hang of it yet – I guess it’s good for Facebook users. I stand firm against Facebook and Twitter … last of the dinosaurs I know ….
If you are among the last, I stand with you! And how about this – I don’t have a cell phone, either. Well, I have one that is supposed to be for emergencies but I forgot how to add minutes. Nice to see you!
My favs are the anteater and the chameleon, but they are all terrific. I think that composition, the diagonal of the figure and the space upper left on the anteater is especially effective!
Ahhh, these are delightful. I like the stork best!
Your work really lends itself to the little cards; these look really special. I’ve considered making ATCs; it’s interesting to hear you’re really enjoying creating them! The backgrounds do look like fun and they go great with your critters.
Cindy….you outdid yourself! LOVE these especially the anteater! FABULOUS!
Amazing and wonderful creatures, Cindy! I love how the chameleon blends in with his surroundings! :)
Fab again!! Love ya!! Mom
I like all of these. It’s hard to pick my favorite, but I think it would be the anteater. He is so unusual.
LOVE love love these! Love the backgrounds with all the swirls and flowers etc. Seriously , these are amazing…. ;)
I’m loving your artcards, each one is perfect. Have you decided what your going to do with them yet, I’m up for a swap!
I’d love to! Most of these are spoken for over at illustratedatcs.com, and I’m working on a whole set for a swap, but I’d be happy to trade with you once I get caught up. :)
Also, wow, thanks so much for all the encouraging comments! I’m feeling pretty good about these tiny arts and see many more in my future. :)
super cool.
The Purple Rhinoceros Hornbill is lovely!
Oh how awesome these turned out to be!!!! Love your happy circle texture! Brillant!
And as far as your Kingfisher! card that would be my all time favorite. They are my favorite birdie! :D LOVE it!! =)
